This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your brewer to ensure optimal performance and enjoyment.
Setup
Unpacking and Initial Rinse
- Remove all packaging materials from the brewer.
- Place the brewer upright on a stable, level surface.
- Remove the water reservoir and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh water up to the MAX fill line.
- Place the water reservoir back onto the brewer.
- Plug the brewer into a grounded outlet.
First Brew Cycle (Cleansing Brew)
Before brewing your first beverage, perform a cleansing brew to prepare the brewer for use.
- Place a large mug (at least 10 oz) on the drip tray.
- Lift and lower the brewer handle to close the K-Cup pod holder. Do not insert a K-Cup pod.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the brewer.
- Select the 10 oz brew size. The brew button will flash.
- Press the flashing brew button to start the cleansing brew.
- Once complete, discard the hot water. The brewer is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee
- Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
- Place a mug on the drip tray.
- Lift the brewer handle and insert a K-Cup pod into the K-Cup pod holder.
- Lower the handle completely to close the lid.
- Select your desired brew size (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz).
- (Optional) Press the STRONG button for a bolder cup of coffee.
- Press the flashing brew button to start brewing.

Making Lattes and Cappuccinos
The K-Cafe allows you to brew a concentrated coffee shot and froth milk for specialty beverages.
- Fill the frother with fresh milk (skim, soy, almond, etc.) to the appropriate fill line for latte or cappuccino.
- Place the frother lid on securely.
- Place the frother onto the frother base.
- Insert a K-Cup pod into the brewer and lower the handle.
- Place your mug on the drip tray.
- Press the SHOT button to brew a concentrated coffee shot directly into your mug.
- While the shot is brewing, select either LATTE or CAPP on the frother base. For iced beverages, select COLD.
- Once the frother cycle is complete, pour the frothed milk over your coffee shot.

Using the Frother
- The frother can be used with various types of fresh milk, including skim, soy, and almond.
- Choose between LATTE (hot frothed milk), CAPP (hot extra frothy milk), or COLD (cold frothed milk) settings.
