1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using your Moulinex 1,2,3 DP8108 Electric Chopper. Retain this manual for future reference.

3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your electric chopper before first use:

  1. Place the motor unit on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Carefully place the Powerlife blade unit onto the central pin inside the chopping bowl. Ensure it sits correctly.
  3. Place the chopping bowl onto the motor unit, aligning the grooves.
  4. Add your ingredients to the chopping bowl.
  5. Place the hermetic lid onto the chopping bowl and twist it clockwise until it locks securely into position. The appliance will not operate if the lid is not properly locked.
  6. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Moulinex 1,2,3 DP8108 Electric Chopper is designed for various food preparation tasks, including chopping, mincing, grinding, grating, mixing, and blending.

4.1 Preparing Ingredients

  • Cut larger ingredients into smaller, uniform pieces (approximately 2-3 cm) to ensure even processing.
  • Remove any hard bones, pits, or tough skins from fruits, vegetables, or meat.

4.2 Chopping and Mincing

  1. Assemble the chopper as described in Section 3.
  2. Add the prepared ingredients to the chopping bowl. Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 350g for solid ingredients or 550ml for liquids.
  3. Ensure the lid is securely locked.
  4. Press and hold the button on the motor unit to start chopping. The longer you hold the button, the finer the consistency will be. Use short pulses for coarse chopping.
  5. Release the button to stop the operation.
  6. Unplug the appliance, carefully remove the lid, then remove the blade unit before emptying the bowl.

4.3 Blending Semi-Liquids

For blending semi-liquid preparations like smoothies or sauces, the chopper can also function as a blender with its 1.5L capacity. The hermetic lid helps prevent splashes.

  • Ensure the blender attachment (if included and applicable to your model) is correctly assembled.
  • Add liquids and soft ingredients.
  • Secure the lid and operate using the pulse function until desired consistency is achieved.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your chopper.

5.1 Disassembly for Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the appliance before disassembling.
  2. Remove the lid, then carefully remove the blade unit by holding its plastic top.
  3. Remove the chopping bowl from the motor unit.

5.2 Washing Components

  • The chopping bowl, lid, and blade unit are removable and dishwasher safe.
  • Alternatively, wash these parts in warm, soapy water using a brush for the blades, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
