1. Product Overview

2. Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
• Oversize foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
• A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, drapes, walls, and the like, when in operation.
• Do not place any materials other than manufacturer's recommended accessories in the oven.
• Do not place cardboard, plastic, paper, or similar materials in the oven.
• Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer's recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.
• Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, creating a risk of electric shock.
• Extreme caution should be exercised when removing tray or disposing of hot grease.
• Always wear protective, insulated oven mitts when inserting or removing items from the hot oven.

3. Setup and First Use

3.1 Unpacking

1. Carefully remove the OTG and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Remove any protective films, stickers, or packaging materials from the appliance.
3. Retain the packaging for future storage or transportation.

3.2 Placement

• Place the OTG on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
• Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance. Maintain at least 10-15 cm clearance from walls and other objects on all sides.
• Do not place the OTG near water sources, flammable materials, or other heat-generating appliances.
• Ensure the power cord is not kinked or touching hot surfaces.

3.3 Initial Cleaning

1. Before first use, wipe the interior and exterior of the OTG with a damp cloth.
2. Wash all accessories (bake tray, grill rack, skewers, rotisserie set, crumb tray) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

3.4 First Use (Burn-in)

It is recommended to perform a burn-in cycle before cooking food to eliminate any manufacturing odors.

1. Plug the OTG into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Set the temperature control knob to maximum (250°C).
3. Set the function knob to the 'Bake' setting (top and bottom heating elements).
4. Set the timer knob to 15-20 minutes.
5. Allow the OTG to operate for the set time. A slight odor or smoke may be observed; this is normal.
6. Once the cycle is complete, turn all knobs to 'OFF' and unplug the appliance.
7. Ensure the kitchen is well-ventilated during this process.

4. Operating Instructions

The Havells GHCOTCTK180 OTG features three control knobs for easy operation.

4.1 Control Panel

• Temperature Control Knob: Used to select the desired cooking temperature (e.g., 100°C to 250°C).
• Function Control Knob: Used to select the cooking mode (e.g., Bake, Grill, Toast, Rotisserie).
• Timer Control Knob: Used to set the cooking duration (up to 60 minutes) with an auto shut-off feature.

4.2 General Operation

1. Prepare Food: Place food on the appropriate accessory (bake tray, grill rack, or skewers).
2. Insert Accessories: Carefully slide the accessory with food into the desired rack position inside the OTG.
3. Set Temperature: Turn the Temperature Control Knob to the desired temperature.
4. Select Function: Turn the Function Control Knob to the desired cooking mode.
5. Set Timer: Turn the Timer Control Knob to the desired cooking time. The OTG will start operating, and the indicator light will illuminate.
6. Monitor Cooking: Use the inner lamp to observe the cooking process.
7. Completion: The timer will ding, and the OTG will automatically shut off when the set time expires.
8. Remove Food: Using oven mitts and the appropriate handle, carefully remove the cooked food and accessories.

4.3 Using the Rotisserie Function

1. Secure the food (e.g., whole chicken) onto the rotisserie rod using the forks. Ensure it is balanced.
2. Insert the pointed end of the rotisserie rod into the rotisserie drive socket on the right side of the oven cavity.
3. Rest the square end of the rod onto the rotisserie support on the left side.
4. Select the 'Rotisserie' function using the Function Control Knob.
5. Set the desired temperature and timer.
6. Once cooking is complete, use the rotisserie lifter to carefully remove the hot rotisserie assembly.

4.4 Using Skewer Rods

The four skewer rods can be used with the grill rack for preparing various grilled items like kebabs or paneer tikka.

1. Thread food onto the skewer rods.
2. Place the skewer rods onto the grill rack.
3. Insert the grill rack into the desired position in the OTG.
4. Select the 'Grill' function, set temperature, and timer.

5. Care and Maintenance

Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

5.1 Cleaning the Interior

• Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
• For stubborn stains, a paste of baking soda and water can be applied, left for a few minutes, then wiped clean.
• Ensure the interior is completely dry before next use.

5.2 Cleaning the Exterior

• Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
• Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
• Ensure no water enters the control panel area.

5.3 Cleaning Accessories

• Wash the bake tray, grill rack, crumb tray, rotisserie set, and skewers in warm, soapy water.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or reusing.
• The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly to prevent grease buildup and potential fire hazards.

5.4 Storage

When not in use, store the OTG in a clean, dry place. Ensure all accessories are clean and stored properly inside or alongside the appliance.
