- Prepare Components: Unpack all wooden panels, legs, corner posts, and hardware. Organize them for easy access.
- Assemble Side Panels: Attach the side panels to the corner posts using the provided screws. Ensure the panels fit snugly into the grooves of the posts. A hammer may be used to gently tap components into place for a tight fit.
- Attach End Panels: Connect the end panels to the remaining corner posts, forming the rectangular frame of the garden bed.
- Secure Legs: Attach the four legs to the bottom of the assembled frame. Ensure they are firmly secured to provide stability.
- Install Bottom Slats: Place the bottom wooden slats across the base of the bed. These slats provide support for the soil and allow for drainage. Secure them with screws where indicated.
- Insert Geotextile Liner: Lay the geotextile bed liner inside the assembled wooden frame. Ensure it covers the bottom and sides to prevent soil erosion and maintain soil stability while allowing water permeability.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your VINGLI Raised Garden Bed.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the wooden bed with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
- Wood Treatment: The pine wood is treated with a transparent anti-corrosive paint. While designed for long-lasting use, you may consider reapplying a wood sealant or paint every few years to further protect the wood from weathering, especially in harsh climates.
- Drainage: Ensure the drainage holes remain clear of obstructions to prevent water accumulation.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws and joints for tightness. Re-tighten if necessary.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during assembly or use, consider the following:
- Warped Boards: If boards appear slightly warped, ensure they are correctly oriented and apply gentle pressure during assembly. The tight fit design often accommodates minor variations.
- Difficulty with Fit: Use a rubber mallet to gently tap components into place if they are too tight. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage.
- Instability: Double-check that all screws are fully tightened, especially those connecting the legs and corner posts. Ensure the bed is placed on a level surface.
- Waterlogging: Verify that the drainage holes at the bottom of the bed are not blocked by soil or debris. The geotextile liner should allow water to pass through.
