2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety during assembly and use. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in injury or damage to the product.
- Site Selection: Choose a level, stable surface for installation, clear of overhead obstructions and underground utilities.
- Weather Conditions: Do not attempt assembly during strong winds, heavy rain, or lightning. Disassemble or secure the tent during severe weather warnings.
- Assembly Personnel: Assembly typically requires at least two adults.
- Tools: Use appropriate tools for assembly, including gloves to protect hands from sharp edges.
- Anchoring: Always anchor the tent securely to the ground using the provided stakes and ropes to prevent uplift or movement.
- Fire Safety: Keep all heat sources and open flames away from the tent fabric. The PVC material is not fireproof.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation if storing items that may emit fumes.
- Weight Distribution: Do not hang heavy objects from the tent frame or roof.

4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly of your storage tent.
4.1. Prepare the Site
- Clear the chosen area of any debris, sharp objects, or vegetation.
- Ensure the ground is as level as possible to prevent stress on the frame.
4.2. Assemble the Base Frame
- Lay out all base frame components according to the diagram.
- Connect the base frame pipes using the provided connectors and bolts. Ensure all connections are secure.

Figure 2: Illustration of the base frame components being assembled on the ground. This shows the initial setup phase where the foundational structure is put together.
4.3. Erect the Steel Frame
- Attach the vertical legs to the assembled base frame.
- Connect the roof trusses and ridge poles. All frame elements are designed to be bolted together for maximum stability.
- Ensure all bolts are tightened securely. The frame includes extra strong legs (approx. Ø 1.97 in.) and roof reinforcement for increased load-bearing capacity.

4.4. Install the Tarpaulin
- Carefully drape the roof tarpaulin over the assembled steel frame. The roof tarpaulin is a single piece of PVC material.
- Attach the side walls individually between the poles, approximately every 6.5 ft.
- Install the gable walls, which include the entrances. These can be mounted as needed.
- Secure all tarpaulin sections to the frame using the provided fasteners, ropes, or bungee cords. Ensure the tarpaulin is taut to prevent water pooling.

4.5. Anchor the Tent
- Use the provided stakes to firmly anchor the base frame to the ground.
- Utilize the ropes to further secure the tent, especially in areas prone to wind.

5. Operating Instructions
Your TOOLPORT storage tent is designed for year-round storage. Here are guidelines for its operation:
- Access: Utilize the customizable entrances on the gable walls for easy access to the stored items.
- Storage: The tent provides a protected environment for various items, including equipment, vehicles, or materials.
- Ventilation: If storing items that require ventilation, consider partially opening an entrance or side wall when weather permits.
- Weather Monitoring: Regularly check weather forecasts. In anticipation of extreme weather, ensure all anchoring points are secure and consider temporary disassembly if conditions are severe.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan of your storage tent.
- Cleaning: Clean the PVC tarpaulin periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly.
- Frame Inspection: Annually inspect the steel frame for any signs of rust, bending, or loose connections. Tighten all bolts as necessary.
- Tarpaulin Inspection: Check the tarpaulin for tears, punctures, or excessive wear. Small tears can often be repaired with a PVC repair kit.
- Anchoring System: Regularly inspect stakes, ropes, and anchoring points for wear or loosening. Re-secure as needed.
- Snow Load: In areas with heavy snowfall, regularly remove accumulated snow from the roof to prevent structural damage.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
- Issue: Tent feels unstable or sways in wind.
Solution: Ensure all frame bolts are securely tightened. Verify that all stakes are fully driven into the ground and ropes are taut. Consider adding additional anchoring points in very windy conditions.
- Issue: Water pooling on the roof.
Solution: Check if the roof tarpaulin is stretched tightly and evenly over the frame. Adjust tension if necessary. Ensure the frame is level. Remove any debris that might be obstructing water runoff.
- Issue: Small tears or punctures in the tarpaulin.
Solution: For minor damage, use a specialized PVC repair kit to patch the affected area. For larger damage, contact TOOLPORT for replacement parts.
- Issue: Zippers on entrances are difficult to operate.
Solution: Clean any dirt or debris from the zipper teeth. Apply a silicone-based lubricant specifically designed for zippers to improve smooth operation. Avoid forcing the zipper.
