5. Maintenance

5.1 General Care

  • Keep the radio clean by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Avoid exposing the radio to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or prolonged moisture, despite its IP55 rating.
  • Do not disassemble the radio or battery pack. This will void the warranty and may cause damage.

5.2 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery fully before first use.
  • If the radio will not be used for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Use only the original charger or a compatible Type-C charger.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 No Power

  • Check if the battery is properly installed and charged.
  • Ensure the power/volume knob is rotated clockwise to the 'on' position.

6.2 Cannot Transmit or Receive

  • Verify that all radios are set to the same channel.
  • Check if the battery level is sufficient. Low battery can affect transmission power.
  • Ensure you are within the effective communication range. Obstacles like buildings and terrain can reduce range.
  • Confirm the antenna is securely attached.

6.3 Poor Audio Quality

  • Adjust the volume level.
  • Move closer to the other radio if you are at the edge of the communication range.
  • Check for obstructions between the radios.
