This remote is a custom-built replacement and is not an original Insignia product. It is engineered to function immediately upon battery installation, requiring no programming.

Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: This remote control does not require programming. It is designed to work immediately with compatible Insignia NS-SB314 and NSSB314 soundbar models once batteries are installed.

Operating Instructions

Basic Functions (Upper Section)

• PWR (Power): Turns the soundbar on or off.
• VOL +/- (Volume): Increases or decreases the soundbar volume.
• MUTE: Mutes or unmutes the sound.
• CH +/- (Channel): Navigates through channels (if applicable to soundbar functions).
• MENU: Accesses the soundbar's menu options.
• RECALL: Recalls previous settings or channels.
• Numeric Keypad (0-9, 100, ENT): For direct input of channels or settings.

Advanced Functions (Lower Section - Slide Down)

To access these functions, gently slide down the cover located at the bottom of the remote.

• POWER (Lower): Additional power control.
• MUTE (Lower): Additional mute control.
• OPTICAL: Selects Optical audio input.
• AUX IN: Selects Auxiliary audio input.
• RCA: Selects RCA audio input.
• BLUETOOTH: Activates Bluetooth pairing mode or selects Bluetooth input.
• STANDARD: Sets sound mode to Standard.
• THEATER: Sets sound mode to Theater.
• NEWS: Sets sound mode to News.
• BASS: Adjusts bass levels.
• VOL+ / VOL- (Lower): Fine-tunes volume.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type.
• Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Remote Not Responding

• Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity and are not depleted. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
• Line of Sight: Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's infrared emitter and the soundbar's receiver. Obstructions can block the signal.
• Distance: Operate the remote within the effective range of the soundbar.
• Soundbar Power: Confirm the Insignia soundbar is powered on and functioning correctly.

Specific Functions Not Working

• Slide-Down Cover: For advanced functions, ensure the lower cover is fully slid down to expose the buttons.
