Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the UBay Universal Remote Control, model TCL RC280, designed for use with various TCL Roku TV models. This remote control offers a direct replacement experience, requiring no programming or pairing. Simply install batteries, and it is ready for immediate use.

Setup

Installing Batteries

The remote control requires two (2) AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards to open it.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Initial Use

No programming or pairing is required. Once batteries are installed, the remote is ready for immediate use with your compatible TCL Roku TV.

Operating Instructions

The UBay Universal Remote Control features standard buttons for navigating your TCL Roku TV.

Button Functions:

  • Power Button (⏻): Turns the TV on or off.
  • Home Button (🏠): Returns to the Roku TV home screen.
  • Back Button (←): Navigates back to the previous screen or menu.

  • OK Button: Selects highlighted items.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the remote, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Storage

If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage. Store the remote in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting
