Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Placement: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation.
- Initial Rinse: Before first use, fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Place the thermal carafe on the warming plate. Run a full brew cycle without coffee grounds to rinse the internal components. Discard the water from the carafe. Repeat this process once more.
- Power Connection: Plug the coffee maker into a grounded 110 Volt electrical outlet. The internal hot water tank will begin heating the water. This initial heating process may take approximately 15-20 minutes. The unit is always ready to brew once the water is heated.

Operating Instructions
- Prepare the Filter: Insert a BUNN filter (1.6 cm taller than standard filters) into the brew funnel.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Add your desired amount of coffee grounds to the filter. For optimal results, use medium-grind coffee.
- Position Brew Funnel: Slide the brew funnel into its designated slot in the coffee maker.
- Place Carafe: Ensure the thermal carafe is properly placed on the drip tray beneath the brew funnel.
- Add Water: Open the lid of the water reservoir and pour fresh, cold water into the reservoir. The pour bowl has a water level indicator to guide you. The brewing cycle will automatically begin as soon as the water is added, displacing the hot water from the internal tank.
- Brewing: The coffee will brew directly into the thermal carafe. A full 10-cup pot typically brews in about 4 minutes.
- Serving: Once brewing is complete, remove the carafe and serve. The thermal carafe is designed to keep coffee hot for extended periods without a warming plate.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, wash the brew funnel and thermal carafe with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Descaling (Monthly/Bi-Monthly): Mineral deposits can build up over time. To descale, fill the water reservoir with a mixture of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Run a full brew cycle. After the cycle, run two full cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse out any vinegar residue.
Storage
If storing the coffee maker for an extended period, ensure it is clean and dry. Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
