1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Rossmax Swiss Design X5 Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. This device is designed for accurate and reliable measurement of blood pressure and pulse rate at home. It incorporates advanced PARR (Pulse Arrhythmia) technology for early detection of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), Premature Contraction (PC), Tachycardia, and Bradycardia during regular blood pressure checks. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper operation and to maximize the benefits of this device.
2. Safety Information
Important: Always consult your physician for diagnosis and treatment. Self-diagnosis and treatment based on measurement results can be dangerous.
- This device is intended for adult use only.
- Do not use this device on infants, toddlers, or children.
- Do not use this device for any purpose other than measuring blood pressure.
- Keep the device and cuff out of reach of children.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Before Measurement
- Avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, and exercising for at least 30 minutes before measurement.
- Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
- Sit upright with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
- Place your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
- Ensure the cuff is applied directly to your bare arm, not over clothing.
5.2 Applying the Cuff
- Slide the end of the cuff through the metal ring to form a loop. The smooth cloth should be on the inside of the cuff loop.
- Place the cuff on your left upper arm so that the air tube runs down the inside of your arm.
- The bottom edge of the cuff should be approximately 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) above your elbow.
- Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm. Ensure it is not too tight or too loose.
5.3 Taking a Measurement
- Press the Power button to turn on the monitor.
- The cuff will automatically inflate. Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete, the monitor will display your Systolic (SYS), Diastolic (DIA) blood pressure, and Pulse rate.
- The display will also show indicators for PARR technology (ARR/AFib/PC) if detected.
- The measurement will be automatically stored in the device's memory.
- The device will auto-shut-off approximately 1 minute after the last key operation.
5.4 Understanding Display Indicators
- SYS: Systolic blood pressure (upper value).
- DIA: Diastolic blood pressure (lower value).
- PULSE /min: Your pulse rate in beats per minute.
- ARR: Arrhythmia detection.
- AFib: Atrial Fibrillation detection.
- PC: Premature Contraction detection.
- M: Memory indicator. The device stores 60 memories for each of two zones.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Clean the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
6.2 Storage
- Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
