5. Maintenance

5.1. General Care

To ensure the longevity of your Unicornbot, handle it with care. Avoid dropping the robot or applying excessive force to its parts. Keep the robot clean by gently wiping it with a dry cloth. Do not expose the robot to water or other liquids.

5.2. Battery Care

The Lithium Polymer battery should be charged regularly. Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging. If the robot will not be used for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% and store it in a cool, dry place. Do not attempt to replace the battery yourself; contact support if a replacement is needed.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Connectivity Issues

  • Robot not connecting to app: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device and the Unicornbot is powered on and within range. Restart both the app and the Unicornbot.
  • Frequent disconnections: Check for interference from other Bluetooth devices. Ensure the Unicornbot's battery is sufficiently charged.

6.2. Movement and Servo Errors

  • Robot not moving or specific parts not responding: Verify that all servo connections are secure and correctly plugged into the main control unit. Refer to the JIMU app's building instructions to double-check wiring.
  • "Servo error" message: This often indicates a loose connection or a faulty servo. Carefully inspect the connections for the indicated servo. If the issue persists after re-connecting, contact customer support.

6.3. App Functionality Issues

  • App crashes or freezes: Close and restart the app. Ensure your smart device's operating system is up to date. Clear the app's cache if possible.
  • Color sensor not working: Ensure the color sensor is properly connected. Hold the color cards at the recommended distance from the sensor. Check for any obstructions.
  • Unfamiliar error messages: If you encounter error messages in an unfamiliar language, try updating the app or consulting the online support resources.
