Setup
1. Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your FiiO M3K. Connect the included USB Type-C cable to the device's USB port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging.
- The device is fully charged when the indicator light turns off or changes color (refer to Quick Start Guide for specific color).
2. Inserting a Micro SD Card
The FiiO M3K requires a Micro SD card for music storage. It supports cards up to 2TB.
- Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the device.
- Insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.
Note: Ensure the device is powered off before inserting or removing the Micro SD card to prevent data corruption.
3. Transferring Music Files
Connect the FiiO M3K to your computer using the USB Type-C cable. The device will appear as a removable storage device. You can then drag and drop your music files (APE, AIFF, FLAC, WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, M4A, ALAC, ISO, DFF, DSF) directly to the Micro SD card.

Tip: Organize your music into folders (e.g., by Artist, Album) on the Micro SD card for easier navigation.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the screen illuminates.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until a power-off prompt appears, then confirm.
- Screen Lock/Unlock: Short press the Power button to lock or unlock the screen during operation.
2. Basic Navigation
The FiiO M3K uses a combination of physical buttons and a touch panel for navigation.
- Touch Panel: Swipe up/down or left/right on the touch panel to navigate through menus. Tap to select an option.
- Back Button: Located on the touch panel, returns to the previous menu.
- Menu Button: Located on the touch panel, accesses context-sensitive options.
- Play/Pause Button: Starts or pauses playback.
- Volume Buttons: Adjusts the audio output level.

3. Music Playback
- From the main menu, select "Browse Files" or "Music Library" to find your music.
- Navigate to the desired track and tap to begin playback.
- During playback, use the Play/Pause button to control the music.
- Use the touch panel's forward/backward buttons to skip tracks.
- Adjust volume using the dedicated volume buttons.
4. Recording Function
The FiiO M3K includes a built-in microphone for audio recording.
- From the main menu, select "Recorder".
- Choose recording quality settings if available.
- Press the Play/Pause button to start recording.
- Press the Play/Pause button again to stop recording.
- Recorded files are saved to the Micro SD card.
5. USB DAC Mode
The FiiO M3K can function as an external DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) for your computer or compatible smartphone, improving audio quality.
- Connect the FiiO M3K to your computer or smartphone using the USB Type-C cable.
- On the FiiO M3K, select "DAC Mode" when prompted (or navigate to it in settings).
- On your computer/smartphone, select "FiiO M3K" as the audio output device.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the official FiiO website for firmware updates. Updates can improve performance and add new features. Follow the instructions provided with the firmware update carefully.
Troubleshooting
Device Does Not Power On
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
- Try a different USB cable or power adapter.
No Sound Output
- Check if headphones are properly connected to the 3.5mm jack.
- Verify the volume level is not set to zero or muted.
- Test with different headphones to rule out a headphone issue.
- Ensure the audio file format is supported by the device.
Cannot Transfer Files to Micro SD Card
- Ensure the Micro SD card is properly inserted and recognized by the device and computer.
- Check if the Micro SD card is full.
- Try formatting the Micro SD card (this will erase all data, back up first).
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected and functioning correctly.
Device Freezes or Becomes Unresponsive
- Press and hold the Power button for approximately 10 seconds to force a restart.
- If the issue persists, try updating the firmware.
