Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the speaker from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Choose a suitable location for the speaker. Consider the acoustics of the room and the desired sound projection.
  3. Mounting Options:
    • Floor Standing: Place the speaker directly on a stable, flat surface. The integrated feet provide stability.
    • Pole Mount: Insert the speaker onto a standard speaker pole stand using the socket located on the bottom of the unit. Ensure the stand is stable and rated for the speaker's weight (60 lbs).
    • Ceiling Mounting: Utilize the two top and two bottom front hooks for secure ceiling suspension. Professional installation is recommended for ceiling mounting.
    • Wall Mounting: Use the one top and one bottom hook for wall mounting. Ensure the wall is structurally sound to support the speaker's weight. Professional installation is recommended.
    • Floor Monitor: The speaker can be angled on its side for use as a floor monitor, directing sound towards performers.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the provided power cord to the AC IN port on the rear control panel and then to a standard 110 Volt AC outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting.

Control Panel Overview:

The rear control panel (Figure 1.4) provides all necessary controls for audio input, output, and equalization.

  • MP3 Volume: Controls the volume for USB, SD, and Bluetooth inputs.
  • Master Volume: Overall volume control for all inputs.
  • 5-Band Graphic Equalizer: Adjusts frequency bands (60Hz, 250Hz, 800Hz, 2KHz, 8KHz) to fine-tune the sound.
  • MIC/LINE Inputs (1 & 2): XLR inputs for microphones or line-level devices, each with independent volume control.
  • 3.5mm AUX Input: For connecting external audio devices via a 3.5mm cable, with its own volume control.
  • RCA Input (L/R): For connecting devices with RCA outputs, with its own volume control.
  • LINE OUT (XLR): For connecting to additional powered speakers or audio equipment.
  • Digital LCD Screen: Displays current mode and track information for USB/SD/Bluetooth playback.

Audio Input Modes:

  1. Bluetooth Connection:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
    • Press the 'MODE' button on the speaker's control panel until 'Bluetooth' is selected on the LCD screen.

    • Adjust the dedicated volume control for the AUX/RCA input, as well as the Master Volume.
  4. Microphone/Line Input:
    • Connect microphones or line-level instruments to the MIC/LINE XLR inputs.
    • Adjust the individual volume knobs for each MIC/LINE input.

Sound Adjustment:

Use the 5-Band Graphic Equalizer sliders to fine-tune the audio output. Adjust each frequency band (+/- 12dB) to suit your preferences and the acoustic environment.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the speaker cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Grille: Keep the speaker grille free from dust and debris. A soft brush or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment can be used.
  • Storage: If storing the speaker for an extended period, place it in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and moisture.
  • Cables: Periodically check all cables for wear and tear. Replace damaged cables immediately to ensure safe operation.
