Operating Instructions
Enjoy a seamless fondue experience with these simple operating steps:
- Add Ingredients: Place your desired chocolate, cheese, or caramel into the removable metal melting pot.
- Select Setting: Turn the control dial on the front of the warming base to the "Melt" setting. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Melt Fondue: Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for the ingredients to melt completely. Stir occasionally with a non-abrasive utensil to ensure even melting.
- Keep Warm: Once the fondue has reached your desired consistency, switch the control dial to the "Warm" setting to maintain the temperature without hardening.
- Prepare Dippables: Arrange your favorite dipping items in the compartments of the serving tray. Ideas include:
- For Chocolate: Cookies, cake wafers, brownies, rice krispie treats, marshmallows, fruits (strawberries, bananas, apples, dried apricots, mango, papaya), salty snacks (pretzels, potato chips).
- For Cheese: Bread (French bread, baguette), apples, tart apples, crackers, bacon & sausage.
- Enjoy: Use the provided dipping forks to coat your chosen items in the melted fondue.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your fondue maker:
- Always ensure the appliance is unplugged and completely cooled before attempting to clean.
- Remove the metal melting pot and plastic serving tray from the warming base.
- Wash the melting pot, serving tray, and dipping forks with warm, soapy water. The non-stick interior of the pot and the smooth plastic surfaces make cleaning easy.
- Wipe the electric warming base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the warming base or its cord in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all components are thoroughly dry before reassembling or storing.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common solutions:
- Chocolate not melting or clumping: Ensure the control dial is set to "Melt" initially. If the chocolate is too thick, add a small amount of shortening or vegetable oil. For very hard chocolate, it may be beneficial to pre-melt it partially in a microwave-safe bowl before transferring it to the fondue pot.
- Chocolate hardening on "Warm" setting: The "Warm" setting is designed to maintain a melted state. If the chocolate begins to harden, briefly switch the dial back to "Melt" until it softens, then return to "Warm". Ensure the chocolate is stirred periodically.
- Appliance not turning on: Check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the appliance and a working electrical outlet. Ensure the control dial is not set to "Off".
