Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the iron and all packaging materials from the box. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

Operating Instructions

2. Heating Up: The iron will begin to heat up immediately. There is no temperature control dial on this model; it operates at a fixed temperature suitable for most fabrics.
3. Indicator Light: A small indicator light (often red) will illuminate to show that the iron is heating. It may cycle on and off as the iron maintains its temperature.
4. Ironing: Once the iron is hot, you can begin ironing your garments. The American Heritage non-stick soleplate ensures smooth gliding over fabrics.
5. Cord Swivel: The 360-degree swivel power cord allows for flexible movement during ironing, preventing tangles.
6. Resting the Iron: When not actively ironing, always place the iron upright on its heel rest on the ironing board.
7. After Use: Once ironing is complete, unplug the iron from the wall socket.

Maintenance and Cleaning

• Cool Down: Always allow the iron to cool down completely before cleaning or storing.
• Cleaning the Soleplate:
  • For light stains, wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.

  • Never use metal objects to clean the soleplate.
