5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 Initial Placement
Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To power on, press the "U" button (Power/Unit button). The display will show "0g" or "0.0oz".
- To power off manually, press and hold the "U" button for a few seconds. The scale also features a 2-minute auto-off function to conserve battery life.
6.2 Unit Conversion
With the scale powered on, press the "U" button repeatedly to cycle through the available units: grams (g), pounds and ounces (lb:oz), fluid ounces for water (fl.oz water), milliliters for water (ml water), fluid ounces for milk (fl.oz milk), and milliliters for milk (ml milk).

6.3 Tare Function (Zeroing)
The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or previous ingredients, so you can measure subsequent items accurately.
- Place an empty container on the scale platform. The display will show its weight.
- Press the "ZERO" button. The display will reset to "0g" (or current unit).
- Add the item(s) you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the added item(s).
- You can repeat the tare function multiple times for measuring multiple ingredients in the same container.

6.4 Weighing Items
- Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface and powered on, displaying "0g".
- Place the item(s) directly onto the center of the tempered glass platform.
- Read the weight displayed on the LCD screen.
- If using a container, utilize the tare function as described above.
