1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your GoPro HERO7 Silver camera. The HERO7 Silver is a rugged and waterproof action camera designed to capture high-quality 4K video and vibrant 10MP photos with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).

3. Setup

3.1 Inserting the MicroSD Card

The GoPro HERO7 Silver requires a MicroSD card (not included) to store photos and videos. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the card.

1. Locate the side door on the camera.
2. Open the side door to reveal the MicroSD card slot and USB-C port.
3. Insert the MicroSD card into the designated slot with the label facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place.
4. Close the side door securely to maintain the camera's waterproof seal.

3.2 Charging the Battery

The HERO7 Silver has a built-in rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery. Charge the camera fully before first use.

1. Open the side door.
2. Connect the included USB-C cable to the camera's USB-C port and to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall charger).
3. The camera's status lights will indicate charging status. They will turn off when charging is complete.
4. Close the side door securely after charging.

4. Operating the Camera

4.1 Powering On/Off

• To power on: Press the Mode button (side button).
• To power off: Press and hold the Mode button for 3 seconds.

4.2 Using the Touchscreen

The HERO7 Silver features an intuitive touchscreen for navigation and settings adjustments. Swipe and tap to access different modes and options.

• Swipe left/right to switch between Video, Photo, and Time Lapse modes.
• Tap icons to change settings within each mode.
• Swipe down from the top to access preferences and connections.

4.3 Capturing Photos and Videos

Press the Shutter button (top button) to start/stop recording video or take a photo in the selected mode.

• 4K30 Video: Records stunning 4K video at 30 frames per second.
• 10MP Photos with WDR: Captures beautiful, vibrant 10-megapixel photos, even in challenging lighting conditions. Burst mode allows for 15 photos in one second.
• Video Stabilization: Records smooth, steady video, reducing shaky footage during active use.
• Vertical Shooting: Capture photos and videos in portrait orientation, ideal for social media stories.
