Setup and Installation

1. Track Assembly and Customization

The curtain track system is designed to be custom-fitted to your window dimensions. The track pieces are typically pre-assembled and need to be joined together. If your track requires length adjustment, follow these guidelines:

  • Measure your desired track length accurately.
  • If cutting the track shorter, ensure both drive belts are cut to the same reduced length. The system uses two belts for longer tracks.
  • Refer to any provided video instructions for detailed cutting procedures, noting that some older videos may show a single belt system, while current models use two.
  • Ensure all track segments are securely joined and the belts are correctly tensioned.

2. Mounting the Track

The SimpleSmart Motorized Electric Curtain Tracks are designed for wall mounting. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the weight of the track and curtains.

  1. Mark the desired mounting points on the wall, ensuring the track is level.
  2. Install the mounting brackets securely using appropriate fasteners for your wall type.
  3. Attach the assembled track to the installed mounting brackets.

3. Motor Installation

The motor can be positioned on either the left or right side of the track, depending on your preference and power outlet location.

Image 5: Curtain and Motor Configurations - This image illustrates how curtains can be configured to open from one side or from the center, and how the motor can be installed on either the left or right end of the track.

  1. Slide the motor into the designated drive unit at the end of the track.
  2. Secure the motor in place according to the track design.
  3. Connect the motor's power cable to a suitable power outlet.

4. Attaching Curtains

Once the track and motor are installed, you can attach your curtains to the carriers.

  2. Hook each curtain panel onto the carriers along the track.
  3. Distribute the curtain evenly for smooth operation.
