3. Setup

3.1 Speaker Placement

For optimal sound quality, place the speakers on a stable, flat surface, such as a bookshelf or speaker stands. Position them equidistant from your listening position, forming an equilateral triangle. Ensure there is adequate space behind the speakers for proper airflow and cable management, especially for the rear-firing port.

3.2 Connecting the Speakers

The R-41PM system consists of one active (powered) speaker and one passive speaker. Connect the active speaker to the passive speaker using the included speaker cable. Ensure the positive (+) terminal on the active speaker connects to the positive (+) terminal on the passive speaker, and similarly for the negative (-) terminals.

3.3 Power Connection

Connect the supplied power cord to the active speaker's AC input and then to a wall outlet. The speakers are designed to operate on 240 Volts AC.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

Use the power button on the remote control or the volume/source knob on the rear of the active speaker to turn the speakers on or off.

4.2 Input Selection

The R-41PM speakers support multiple input sources. You can switch between inputs (Bluetooth, Phono, Optical, USB, Line) using the remote control or by pressing the volume/source knob on the rear of the active speaker.

4.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. Select the Bluetooth input on the speakers. The Bluetooth indicator light will begin to flash.
  2. On your compatible device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Klipsch R-41PM" from the list.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light will turn solid.

4.4 Phono Input (Turntable)

The R-41PM speakers feature a dedicated Phono input, allowing direct connection of a turntable without the need for an external pre-amplifier. Ensure your turntable is connected to the Phono input and select this source for playback.

4.5 Other Inputs (Optical, USB, Line)

Connect your digital audio sources (e.g., TV, CD player) to the Optical input, computers to the USB input, or other analog devices to the Line input using the appropriate cables.

4.6 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the remote control or the volume/source knob on the rear of the active speaker. The maximum speaker output power is 70 Watts.
