4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your aquarium light.

  • Cleaning: Periodically wipe the light fixture with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust or water spots. Ensure the light is unplugged before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the light in water.
  • Inspection: Regularly check the power cord and light unit for any signs of damage. If any damage is observed, discontinue use immediately.
  • Water Exposure: As the light is not waterproof, always ensure it remains dry. If water splashes onto the unit, immediately unplug it and dry it thoroughly before resuming use.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AQUANEAT LED Aquarium Light, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Light Does Not Turn On:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check that the on/off toggle switch on the power cord is in the "on" position.
    • Verify there is power to the outlet by testing with another device.
  • Light Appears Dim:
    • This model does not have adjustable brightness. The light operates at a fixed intensity.
    • Ensure the light surface is clean and free from dust or mineral deposits that might obstruct light output.
  • Water Inside Light Unit:
    • Immediately unplug the light.
    • This light is not waterproof. Water ingress can cause damage and is a safety hazard. Discontinue use if water has entered the unit.
