1. Introduction

The Coralife Mini LED Aqualight is designed to provide an excellent light source for various aquatic environments. It is 3X brighter than previous fluorescent versions, making it suitable for small planted aquariums, nano tanks, sumps, and refugiums. This fixture offers advanced control features for optimal lighting conditions.

2. Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in product damage, injury, or death. This product is designed for indoor use only.

• Electrical Safety: Always unplug the fixture from the power outlet before performing any maintenance or handling the light. Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged.
• Water Contact: This fixture is designed to be water-resistant but not waterproof. Ensure the light fixture and power connections do not come into direct contact with water. Always ensure a drip loop is formed with the power cord to prevent water from traveling along the cord and reaching the electrical outlet.
• Placement: Ensure the fixture is securely placed on the aquarium or mounted using the provided brackets. Do not block ventilation openings.
• Children and Pets: Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Intended Use: Use this product only for its intended purpose as an aquarium light.

4. Setup Instructions

The Coralife Mini LED Aqualight offers flexible installation options to suit your aquarium setup.

4.1 Placement Options

The fixture can be placed horizontally on top of the aquarium or mounted vertically on the side using the provided accessories.

4.1.1 Using Adjustable Legs

For horizontal placement, attach the adjustable legs to the ends of the light fixture. These legs allow the light to rest securely on the rim of aquariums ranging from 12 to 18 inches in size.

4.1.2 Using Adhesive Mounting Strips

For vertical or alternative horizontal placement, utilize the adhesive mounting strips. Clean the desired surface thoroughly before applying the strips to ensure a strong bond. The light fixture can then be securely attached to these strips.

4.2 Power Connection

Once the fixture is securely placed, connect the power adapter to the light and then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure a drip loop is created with the power cord to prevent water from reaching the outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The Coralife Mini LED Aqualight is controlled by an RF remote, offering comprehensive control over lighting settings.

5.1 Remote Control Overview

The included RF remote allows you to program a 24-hour timer and control the white, blue, and RGB LEDs independently. It requires 2 AAA batteries (included).

5.2 Lighting Modes and Adjustments

The fixture features individual control for white, blue, and RGB LEDs, allowing for a variety of lighting effects.

• Individual LED Control: Turn on Day White, Moon Glow (blue), or RGB LEDs individually to achieve desired lighting conditions.
• Color Options: Select from 8 preset color options or use the 3-speed color scroll mode for dynamic lighting.
• Intensity Adjustment: Adjust the color intensity in 10% increments to fine-tune the brightness.

5.3 24-Hour Timer and Ramp Times

The programmable 24-hour timer allows for automated lighting cycles. A key feature is the automatic 30-minute ramp times, which mimic natural sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset transitions, providing a gentle change in light for your aquatic inhabitants.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Coralife Mini LED Aqualight.

• Cleaning: Periodically wipe the light fixture with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, salt creep, or water spots. Ensure the fixture is unplugged and dry before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• LED Surface: Keep the LED surface clean to maximize light output.
• Power Cord: Inspect the power cord and plug regularly for any signs of damage.
• Remote Control Batteries: Replace the AAA batteries in the RF remote control as needed to ensure proper functionality.
