1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Waterdrop WD-FC-06 Stainless Steel Faucet Water Filter. • This product is designed for use with standard faucets only. It is not compatible with pull-out, hand-held, spray-style faucets, or faucets with sensors. Please verify your faucet type before installation.
  • Operating Temperature: 41-100°F (5-38°C). Do not use with water outside this temperature range.
  • Operating Working Pressure: 15-100 psi (100-689 kPa).

4. Installation

The Waterdrop WD-FC-06 features a drill-free design for easy plug-and-use installation. Follow these steps:

  1. Prepare the Filter: Take out the Activated Carbon Block Filter (A) from its packaging.
  2. Assemble the Filter Unit: Twist off the Filter Base (D) anticlockwise from the main unit. Keep the water outlet hole of the filter downward and place the Activated Carbon Block Filter (A) onto the Filter Base (D). Then, twist the Filter Base (D) clockwise back onto the main unit.
  3. Prepare Your Faucet: Remove the aerator from your faucet. Choose the correct adapter (A3, A4, A5, or B4) that matches your faucet's threading. For external threaded faucets, connect the Outlet Valve (C) directly to the faucet. For internal threaded faucets, select the appropriate adapter and connect it to the faucet, then connect the Outlet Valve (C) to the adapter. Ensure the washer between the faucet and the system is installed firmly. If the seal ring of the adapter is loose, please install it firmly. If you still cannot connect it properly, contact customer service for assistance.
  4. Connect the System: Attach the main filter unit to the Outlet Valve (C).
  5. Flush the System: Before first use, switch the lever on the Outlet Valve (C) to the level position (pure water mode) and run cold water for 3 minutes. It is normal to observe black water and hear air pushing sounds during this initial flushing due to activated carbon. The water will clear after flushing.

6. Maintenance

Filter Replacement

The filter has a capacity of 320 gallons or approximately 3 months of use, whichever comes first. Regular filter replacement is crucial for maintaining optimal filtration performance.

  2. Twist off the Filter Base (D) anticlockwise.
  3. Remove the old Activated Carbon Block Filter (A) and dispose of it properly.
  4. Insert a new Activated Carbon Block Filter (A) into the Filter Base (D), ensuring the water outlet hole is downward.
  5. Twist the Filter Base (D) clockwise back onto the main unit until secure.
  6. Flush the new filter as described in Step 4 of the Installation section.

7. Troubleshooting

Water Leakage

If you experience water leakage at the connecting position between the faucet and the system:

  • Ensure the washer is correctly seated and firmly installed between the faucet and the adapter/system.
  • It is recommended to use a wrench to assist in tightening the nut on the Outlet Valve (C).
  • Consider using Teflon tape on the threads to create a tighter seal and prevent leakage.
