Setup and Preparation
Nail Preparation
- Cleanse nails thoroughly to remove any existing polish, oils, or debris.
- Gently push back cuticles and trim if necessary.
- Lightly buff the nail surface to create a rough texture for better adhesion.
- Wipe nails with a lint-free wipe soaked in nail cleanser or isopropyl alcohol to dehydrate the nail plate.
Product Preparation
Shake both the Gel Polish and Nail Lacquer bottles well before each use to ensure the glitter particles are evenly distributed and the formula is consistent.
Operating Instructions
Applying Gel Polish (LED/UV Cured)
- Apply a thin layer of gel base coat to all nails, capping the free edge. Cure under an LED lamp for 30-60 seconds or a UV lamp for 2 minutes.
- Apply a thin, even layer of LeChat Nobility Gel Polish (Aquamarine NBCS111) to the nails, capping the free edge. Cure under an LED lamp for 30-60 seconds or a UV lamp for 2 minutes.
- Apply a second thin layer of gel polish for full opacity and glitter coverage. Cure again under an LED lamp for 30-60 seconds or a UV lamp for 2 minutes.
- Apply a thin layer of gel top coat, capping the free edge. Cure under an LED lamp for 60-90 seconds or a UV lamp for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the tacky inhibition layer with a gel cleanser or isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free wipe.
Applying Nail Lacquer
- Apply a thin layer of traditional nail lacquer base coat to all nails. Allow to dry completely.
- Apply a thin, even layer of LeChat Nobility Nail Lacquer (Aquamarine NBCS111) to the nails. Allow to dry for 2-3 minutes.
- Apply a second thin layer of nail lacquer for full opacity and glitter coverage. Allow to dry completely.
- Apply a traditional nail lacquer top coat for added shine and protection. Allow to dry completely.
Combining Gel Polish and Nail Lacquer
The gel polish and nail lacquer can be used together. For example, you can apply the gel polish for a long-lasting base color and then use the matching nail lacquer for touch-ups or to add additional glitter effects over the cured gel polish. Ensure the gel polish is fully cured and wiped clean before applying traditional lacquer over it.
Removal
Gel Polish Removal (Soak-Off)
- Gently buff the top layer of the gel polish with a nail file to break the seal. Be careful not to buff into the natural nail.
- Soak a cotton ball in 100% acetone and place it directly on the nail.
- Wrap each nail with aluminum foil to secure the cotton ball and prevent acetone evaporation.
- Allow nails to soak for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and cotton. The gel polish should appear lifted or flaky. Gently push off any remaining gel with a wooden cuticle stick. Do not scrape aggressively.
- Lightly buff the natural nail if needed and apply cuticle oil to rehydrate.
Nail Lacquer Removal
Remove traditional nail lacquer using a standard nail polish remover (acetone or non-acetone) and a cotton pad. Gently wipe until all polish is removed.
Maintenance and Storage
- Always ensure bottle caps are tightly secured after each use to prevent product drying or curing.
- Store bottles upright in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and UV light sources (including nail lamps).
- The product has a recommended shelf life of 12 months after opening (indicated by the '12M' symbol on the bottle).
- Clean bottle necks with a lint-free wipe if product accumulates to ensure a tight seal.
Troubleshooting
- Gel Polish Not Curing: Ensure layers are applied thinly. Check if your LED/UV lamp is functioning correctly and has sufficient wattage. Ensure nails are placed properly under the light.
- Gel Polish Peeling/Chipping: Proper nail preparation is crucial. Ensure the nail plate is clean, dry, and lightly buffed. Cap the free edge with each layer. Avoid getting gel on the cuticles or skin.
- Nail Lacquer Streaky/Uneven: Shake the bottle well before use. Apply thin, even coats, allowing each coat to dry sufficiently before applying the next.
- Glitter Not Evenly Distributed: Shake bottles thoroughly before each application to mix glitter particles.
