4. Setup
4.1 Attaching the Side Handle
The side handle can be screwed into either the left or right side of the gear housing, depending on user preference and application. Ensure it is securely tightened before operation.
4.2 Installing the Grinding Wheel and Guard
- Ensure the tool is unplugged from the power source.
- Position the protective guard over the spindle housing. Adjust it to cover the maximum possible area of the grinding wheel, protecting against sparks and debris. Tighten the guard securely.
- Place the inner flange onto the spindle.
- Mount the grinding wheel onto the spindle, ensuring it sits flush against the inner flange.
- Screw the outer flange onto the spindle and tighten it firmly using the provided wrench. Press the spindle lock button to prevent the spindle from rotating while tightening.
- Verify that the grinding wheel is correctly seated and the guard is properly adjusted and secured.
4.3 Power Connection
Connect the angle grinder to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the voltage and frequency of the power supply match the specifications listed on the tool's nameplate.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting and Stopping
- To Start: Push the ON/OFF switch forward to the 'I' position.
- To Stop: Push the ON/OFF switch backward to the 'O' position.
