Setup
1. Power Connection
Connect the AC power adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit and then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The unit will power on and the display will illuminate.
2. Battery Backup (Optional)
For battery backup, insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. This will preserve time and alarm settings during a power outage. The display will not illuminate during battery backup mode.
3. Setting the Time
- Press and hold the TIME SET button until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Press the HOUR + or HOUR - buttons to adjust the hour. Observe the PM indicator for correct AM/PM setting.
- Press the TIME SET button again, and the minute digits will flash.
- Press the MINUTE + or MINUTE - buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the TIME SET button one more time to confirm and save the time.

Operating Instructions
1. Setting Alarms (Dual Wake)
The RC205A features two independent alarms (AL1 and AL2).
To Set Alarm 1 (AL1):
- Press and hold the AL1 SET button until the hour digits flash.
- Press HOUR + or HOUR - to set the desired alarm hour.
- Press AL1 SET again, and the minute digits flash.
- Press MINUTE + or MINUTE - to set the desired alarm minutes.
- Press AL1 SET to confirm.
- Press the AL1 ON/OFF button repeatedly to cycle through alarm modes: BEEP (buzzer), MUSIC (radio), or OFF. The corresponding indicator will light up.
To Set Alarm 2 (AL2):
Follow the same steps as for AL1, but use the AL2 SET and AL2 ON/OFF buttons.
2. AM/FM Radio Operation
- Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn the radio on or off.
- Press the AM/FM button to switch between AM and FM bands.
- Press and hold the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to automatically scan for the next available station. Briefly press to manually tune.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons.
Setting Radio Presets:
The unit allows you to store your favorite radio stations.
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press and hold the MEM (Memory) button until "P01" flashes on the display.
- Press the MEM button repeatedly to select the desired preset number (P01-P10).
- Press the SET button to save the station to the selected preset.
- To recall a preset, briefly press the MEM button to cycle through stored stations.
3. Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button on top of the unit. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after approximately 9 minutes.
4. Sleep Function
The sleep function allows you to fall asleep to the radio, which will automatically turn off after a set period.
- While the radio is playing, press the SLEEP button. The display will show the default sleep time (e.g., 90 minutes).
- Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
- The radio will play for the selected duration and then automatically turn off.
Maintenance
- To clean the unit, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust.
- If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the backup batteries to prevent leakage.
