Operating Instructions

  1. Add Beans: Pour whole coffee beans into the bean funnel. The funnel can hold up to 220g of coffee beans. Place the lid on the bean funnel to maintain freshness.
  2. Select Grind Setting: Rotate the grinding settings dial to choose your desired coarseness. The grinder offers 12 settings, ranging from fine (suitable for espresso) to coarse (ideal for French press). Adjust the dial only when the grinder is fully assembled.
  3. Start Grinding: Press the START/STOP button to begin grinding. The grinder will operate until the button is pressed again or the beans are fully ground.
  4. Collect Ground Coffee: Once grinding is complete, carefully remove the ground coffee collector from its slot.
  5. Pour: Pour the freshly ground coffee into your preferred coffee maker.

Tip: For optimal flavor, grind coffee beans immediately before brewing.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your grinder.

Cleaning the Grinder

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the grinder from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Remove Components: Detach the bean funnel, its lid, and the ground coffee collector.
  3. Clean Removable Parts: Wash the bean funnel, lid, and ground coffee collector with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  4. Clean Burrs: The top conical burr can be removed for cleaning. Gently brush away any accumulated coffee grounds from both the removable burr and the fixed lower burr using a soft brush. Do not wash the burrs with water.
  5. Wipe Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  6. Reassemble: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling the grinder.

Addressing Static

Static cling of coffee grounds is a common phenomenon, especially in dry environments. To minimize static:

  • Gently tap the ground coffee collector on the counter after grinding to settle the grounds.
  • Consider adding a very small drop of water (less than 0.1ml) to the whole beans before grinding, if compatible with your coffee beans and grinder.
