1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the Tekswamp Replacement Remote Control, designed for use with the JVC HR-VP673U device. This remote control offers most of the original commands for your device without requiring additional programming. It is engineered for ease of use and durability.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Using a small screwdriver, loosen the security screw on the battery compartment cover. This screw is a childproofing feature to prevent unauthorized access to small parts.
3. Slide the battery compartment cover off.
4. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
5. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the security screw.

2.2 Initial Use

No additional programming is required for this remote control. Once batteries are installed, it is ready for immediate use with compatible JVC HR-VP673U models.

3. Operating Instructions

The remote provides most of the original commands for your device. It is guaranteed to perform essential functions.

3.1 Basic Functions

• Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the device on or off.
• Menu Navigation: Use the directional arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) and the OK button to navigate and select options within the device's menu.
• Input Signal Selection: Use the SRC (Source) button to cycle through available input signals.

3.2 ON Indicator Light

3.3 Functional Limitations

While this remote provides most original commands, some specific functions may not work properly with all devices. These can include, but are not limited to, page flip, keystone correction, video adjustment, and certain numerical inputs. No laser pointer functionality is available.
