4. Installation
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician if you are unfamiliar with motorcycle electrical systems. Ensure the motorcycle's power is disconnected before beginning installation.
4.1 Mounting the Speedometer
Secure the speedometer unit to your motorcycle's handlebars or dashboard using the provided mounting bracket. Ensure it is positioned for optimal visibility and does not obstruct your view or controls.

Figure 4.1: Example of speedometer mounting on a motorcycle.
4.2 Wiring Instructions
Carefully connect the wiring harness according to the diagram and table below. Incorrect wiring can damage the unit or the motorcycle's electrical system.

Figure 4.2: Wiring diagram for the speedometer.
| Wire Color | Function |
|---|---|
| Red Wire | 12V Battery Positive Electrode |
| Yellow Wire | Engine Fault Light Wire |
| Blue/White Wire | Oil Level Signal Wire |
| Black Wire | Positive Electrode |
| Green Wire | Negative Electrode |
| Brown Wire | Oil Level Signal Wire |
| Orange Wire | Left Turn Signal Wire |
| Light Blue Wire | Right Turn Signal Wire |
| Blue Wire | High Beam Indicator Wire |
Note: Some wires may require additional sensors or adaptation depending on your motorcycle's specific model and existing wiring. For example, the tachometer function may require a separate sensor if your motorcycle does not provide a compatible RPM signal. The fuel gauge function requires connection to a compatible fuel level sensor.
5. Operation
5.1 Basic Functions
Upon powering on, the speedometer will display current speed, odometer, trip meter, clock, tachometer, and fuel level. Indicator lights for turn signals, headlight, and engine check will illuminate as appropriate.

5.2 Button Functions
The unit features two buttons, typically labeled "SELECT" and "RESET", for various adjustments and mode switching.

Figure 5.1: Speedometer buttons and their functions.
- SELECT Button: Used for mileage mode switching (Odometer/Trip), clearing trip mileage, and clearing fuel kilometer data. A short press typically cycles through modes, while a long press may activate clearing functions.
- RESET Button: Primarily used for clock adjustment. A long press usually enters clock setting mode, and short presses adjust values.
5.3 Changing Backlight Color
To change the backlight color, locate the button on the top right side of the speedometer (often the SELECT button). Press and hold this button for approximately 3 seconds. The display color will cycle through the available 7 colors. Release the button when your desired color is displayed.

5.4 Unit Switching (Km/h and Mp/h)
To switch between Kilometers per hour (Km/h) and Miles per hour (Mp/h), typically a combination of button presses or a long press on the SELECT button while in a specific mode is required. Refer to the on-screen prompts or experiment with short/long presses of the SELECT button when the speed is displayed.
5.5 Clock Adjustment
To set the clock, press and hold the RESET button until the clock digits begin to flash. Use the SELECT button to adjust the hours, and then press RESET again to move to minutes. Use SELECT to adjust minutes. Press RESET once more to save and exit the clock setting mode.

7. Troubleshooting
- Display Not Lighting Up: Check all power connections (Red and Black wires) to ensure they are securely connected to a 12V power source and ground. Verify the motorcycle battery is charged.
- Inaccurate Speed/RPM Reading: Ensure the speed sensor and tachometer signal wire are correctly installed and connected. Calibration may be required depending on wheel size and engine type. Consult a professional if issues persist.
- Fuel Gauge Inaccuracy: The fuel gauge requires a compatible fuel level sensor. If the reading is consistently inaccurate (e.g., always full or empty), check the Blue/White and Brown oil level signal wire connections. Some motorcycle fuel sensors may not be fully compatible, leading to approximate readings.
- Clock/Color Settings Not Saving: Ensure the unit is receiving constant power (Red wire) to maintain settings. If settings reset after power off, there might be an issue with the constant power supply or internal memory.
- Indicator Lights Not Working: Check the specific wire connections for the turn signals, headlight, and engine check light. Ensure bulbs or LEDs in the motorcycle's system are functional.
8. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Keenso Digital LCD Speedometer, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the display and casing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the plastic or LCD screen.
- Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for looseness or corrosion. Ensure the mounting bracket is secure.
- Environmental Protection: While designed to be robust, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions or direct high-pressure water sprays during cleaning.
