Setup and Installation
Professional installation is recommended for optimal safety and performance. Ensure the mounting location can support the fan's weight. The fan is suitable for installation on slope ceilings up to a 32-degree slope. An optional XF-SCK Slope Ceiling Kit is available for slopes between 32-45 degrees. Downrods for longer lengths are sold separately.

App Download and Account Creation
To unlock the full smart features of your fan, download the Modern Forms app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Follow the in-app instructions to create an account and pair your fan.

Wi-Fi Connectivity
The fan connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your home network is configured to support this frequency during the pairing process.

Remote Control
The included battery-operated Bluetooth remote control (Part # F-RCBT-WT) allows for direct control of fan speed and light settings. An optional Bluetooth hardwired wall control (Part# F-WCBT-WT) is sold separately and can be configured for 3 or 4-way switching.

Seasonal Operation
The fan can be operated in both summer and winter modes to optimize air circulation and energy efficiency. In summer, blades rotate counter-clockwise to create a downdraft, providing a cooling effect. In winter, blades rotate clockwise to create an updraft, circulating warm air trapped near the ceiling.

Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and performance of your fan, follow these simple guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the fan blades and motor housing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish.
- Blade Balance: All fans are factory-balanced and sound tested. If wobbling occurs, refer to the troubleshooting section or contact support.
- LED Luminaire: The integrated LED luminaire is replaceable. Contact Modern Forms support for replacement parts.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your fan, consult the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Fan Not Operating: Check power supply at the circuit breaker. Ensure all wiring connections are secure. Verify the remote control batteries are functional.
- Light Not Working: Check power supply. Ensure the light kit is properly connected. If the LED luminaire is faulty, it may need replacement.
- Remote Control Issues: Ensure the remote is within range and batteries are fresh. Re-pair the remote with the fan if necessary (refer to app instructions).
- App Connectivity Problems: Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. Ensure your phone is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Restart the app and the fan.
- Excessive Noise/Wobbling: Ensure all mounting screws are tightened. Check that fan blades are securely attached and balanced.
