2. Setup

2.1 Setting Time

  1. Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to its outermost position.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Push the crown back in to its original position to start the watch.

2.2 Setting Date

  1. Gently pull the crown out to its intermediate (middle) position. This position may feel slightly vague.
  2. Rotate the crown to adjust the date in the date window (located at the 3 o'clock position).
  3. Once the correct date is displayed, push the crown back in to its original position.

3. Operating Features

3.1 INDIGLO® Night-Light

The INDIGLO® night-light illuminates the watch dial for easy readability in low-light conditions. To activate, simply press and hold the crown when it is in its normal (closed) position. The dial will light up with a soft blue glow.

3.2 24-Hour Time Display

In addition to the standard 12-hour clock, the watch dial includes smaller inner numerals for 24-hour (military) time, providing an alternative time reference.

3.3 Water Resistance

The Timex Expedition Scout watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating means it is generally suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, such as in a pool or shallow water. It is not recommended for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports.

4. Maintenance

4.1 General Care
