  • Electrical Safety: Always disconnect the pump from the power supply before handling, cleaning, or performing any maintenance. Ensure the power supply matches the pump's specifications (230V). Do not operate the pump with damaged cables or plugs.
  • Submersion: This pump is designed for submersible use only. Ensure it is fully submerged during operation to prevent overheating.
  • Water Type: The pump is suitable for dirty water, wastewater, and clean water. Avoid pumping flammable, corrosive, or explosive liquids.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the pump and the area of operation.
  • Stable Placement: Ensure the pump is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, safety glasses) when handling the pump, especially when dealing with wastewater.

Components:

  • Pump Body: Durable cast iron construction.
  • Motor: 750W (0.75 kW) for powerful operation.
  • Grinder: Integrated system for shredding solids.
  • Float Switch: Automatic on/off control based on water level.
  • Discharge Outlet: Compatible with 2", 1 1/2", and 1" hose connections.
  • Power Cable: For electrical connection.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the pump and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Hose Connection:
    • Attach the provided Storz C coupling to the pump's discharge outlet. Ensure a secure fit.
    • Connect the 20m hose (or your preferred hose) to the Storz C coupling. The pump also includes adaptors for 1 1/2" and 1" hoses if needed.
    • Route the discharge hose to the desired drainage point, ensuring it is free of kinks and obstructions.
  3. Positioning the Pump:
    • Place the pump on a firm, level surface in the water to be drained. Ensure the intake is clear of debris.
    • The pump must be fully submerged during operation.
  4. Float Switch Adjustment:
    • The float switch controls the automatic on/off function. Adjust the cable length of the float switch to set the desired water levels for activation and deactivation.
    • Ensure the float switch can move freely and is not obstructed by walls or other objects.
  5. Electrical Connection:
    • Connect the pump's power plug to a grounded 230V electrical outlet.
    • Ensure the outlet is protected by a residual current device (RCD) for safety.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Initial Check: Before starting, ensure all connections are secure and the pump is correctly positioned.
  2. Starting the Pump:
    • Once the pump is submerged and the power is connected, the float switch will activate the pump automatically when the water level rises to the preset 'on' level.
    • The pump will continue to operate until the water level drops to the preset 'off' level, at which point the float switch will deactivate it.
  3. Manual Operation (if applicable): If your model allows for manual override, ensure the float switch is secured in an 'on' position, but monitor the pump closely to prevent dry running.
  4. Monitoring: Periodically check the pump's operation, discharge flow, and the area for any unusual noises or vibrations.
  5. Stopping the Pump: The pump will stop automatically when the water level drops. To manually stop the pump, disconnect it from the power supply.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient performance of your pump. Always disconnect the pump from the power supply before any maintenance.

  • Cleaning the Pump: After use, especially with dirty water, rinse the pump thoroughly with clean water. Remove any debris or foreign objects from the intake screen, impeller, and grinder area.
  • Checking Cables and Connections: Regularly inspect the power cable, plug, and hose connections for wear, damage, or leaks. Replace damaged components immediately.
  • Float Switch: Ensure the float switch is clean and moves freely. Debris can impede its operation.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, clean the pump, drain any remaining water, and store it in a dry, frost-free location.
