1. Introduction

3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
The EIGIIS Trackball Mouse requires one AAA battery (not included). To install the battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse.
- Slide open the battery cover.
- Insert one AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery cover securely.

3.2. Connecting the USB Receiver
The mouse connects wirelessly via a USB receiver. No software installation is required.
- Locate the small USB receiver, usually stored within the battery compartment or included separately in the packaging.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB 2.0 port on your computer (PC, Laptop, Mac).
- Turn on the mouse using the power switch located on the underside.
- The mouse should automatically connect to your computer.

4. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the various buttons and functions of your EIGIIS Trackball Mouse:

- Trackball: Use your thumb to move the green trackball to control the cursor on the screen.
- Left Click Button: Located on the underside (trigger-style) and also on the top-left. Use for primary selection and interaction.
- Right Click Button: Located on the top-right. Use for secondary functions and context menus.
- Scroll Wheel: Located near the right-click button. Roll up or down to scroll through documents or web pages.
- DPI Button: Located on the underside, near the finger loop. Press to cycle through DPI settings (600/800/1000/1200) to adjust cursor sensitivity.
- Enter Button: Located on the top-front. Functions as an Enter key.
- Esc Button: Located on the top-front. Functions as an Escape key.
4.1. Sleep Mode
To conserve battery life, the mouse will enter a sleep mode after approximately 10 minutes of inactivity. To wake it up, simply click any button or move the trackball.

5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your trackball mouse, regular cleaning is recommended, especially for the trackball mechanism.
- Gently remove the trackball from its housing. This can usually be done by pushing it out from the underside or by carefully prying the rim around it.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the trackball clean.
- Clean the inside of the trackball housing, paying attention to the small sensors and rollers, using a cotton swab or compressed air to remove any dust or debris.
- Carefully reinsert the trackball into its housing until it clicks into place.
Note: Some users have reported that the trackball rim can be challenging to re-secure after removal. Exercise care during this process.
6. Troubleshooting
- Mouse Not Responding:
- If the mouse is not working after a few minutes of inactivity, click any button to wake it from sleep mode.
- Check the battery: Replace the AAA battery if it is low or depleted.
- Turn the mouse off and then on again using the power switch.
- Remove the USB receiver from your computer and reinsert it into a different USB port.
- Trackball Movement Issues:
- Clean the trackball and its housing as described in the Maintenance section to remove any accumulated dirt or lint that may impede smooth movement.
- Ensure the trackball is properly seated in its housing.
- Intermittent Connection:
- Ensure the mouse is within the 10-meter effective range of the USB receiver.
- Avoid obstacles (like walls) that may interfere with the 2.4GHz signal.
- Try plugging the USB receiver into a different USB port on your computer.
