  2. Reset Bose System:
    • Unplug the Bose Wave Music System from its AC power outlet.
    • Press and hold the power button on the Bose system for five seconds.
    • Plug the Bose system back into the AC power outlet and turn it on.
  3. Reset Remote Control:
    • Remove the batteries from the remote control.
    • Press every button on the remote at least once to drain any residual power. This also helps to identify if any buttons are stuck.
    • Re-insert the batteries into the remote control.
  4. Line of Sight: Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the Bose Wave Music System's infrared receiver. Obstructions can block the signal.

4.2 Compatibility Issues

If the remote control still does not work after performing the troubleshooting steps, re-verify that your Bose Wave Music System model is AWRCC1 or AWRCC2. As noted in the Introduction, this remote is not compatible with other Bose models, even if they appear similar.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the surface or internal components.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's performance degrades or it stops responding. Always use fresh batteries of the specified type. Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
