Setup
Battery Installation
Duke requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Duke Robotic Puppy.
- Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
Warning: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
To power on Duke, locate the ON/OFF switch, usually near the battery compartment. Switch it to the 'ON' position. To power off, switch it to 'OFF'.
Voice Commands
Duke responds to 12 different voice commands. Ensure you speak clearly and directly to Duke for optimal recognition. Duke can be personalized with its Smart Bone, allowing for renaming and specific trick learning.
