6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter while using the Qiilu KW808 OBD2 Scanner.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Scanner does not power on. | Loose connection; Vehicle's ignition not ON; Blown fuse in vehicle's OBDII port. | Ensure the cable is securely connected. Turn vehicle ignition to ON. Check vehicle's fuse box for a blown fuse related to the OBDII port. |
| "LINK ERROR" message. | Vehicle not OBDII compliant; Loose connection; Faulty cable; Communication protocol issue. | Verify vehicle is OBDII compliant (most vehicles 1996+). Re-check cable connection. Try on another OBDII compliant vehicle. Contact support if issue persists. |
| Cannot clear codes. | Engine is running; Ignition is not in ON position; Underlying fault still present. | Ensure engine is off and ignition is in the ON position. The code will reappear if the underlying issue causing it has not been fixed. |
| Screen is blank or frozen. | Software glitch; Power interruption. | Disconnect and reconnect the scanner. If issue persists, perform a factory reset (refer to advanced settings in the scanner's menu, if available). |
