4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the Micro USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The indicator light will turn red during charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides up to 8 hours of playtime.

4.2 Connecting via 3.5mm Aux Input

The KTech Mini Speaker features a convenient plug-and-play design for wired audio. Simply plug the integrated 3.5mm audio jack into the headphone port of your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, laptop, MP3 player). No additional setup or pairing is required for wired connection.

4.3 Connecting via Bluetooth

While primarily designed for wired use, the speaker also supports Bluetooth connectivity for enhanced versatility. To connect via Bluetooth:

1. Ensure the speaker is charged and powered on.
2. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select 'A5' from the list of available devices to pair.
4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation tone, and the indicator light will flash blue.

Note: The speaker has a memory function and will automatically connect to the last paired device when powered on.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To Power On: Double-click the power button (located on the bottom of the speaker).
• To Power Off: Double-click the power button again. Alternatively, long-press the power button for 3 seconds.

5.2 Play/Pause

While playing audio, a short press of the power button will play or pause the current track.

5.3 Volume Control

The speaker's volume is controlled directly by the connected device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.).

5.4 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing (for two speakers)

If you have two KTech Portable Mini Speakers, you can pair them together for a stereo audio experience:

1. Turn on both speakers. They will automatically search for each other.
2. Once paired, one speaker will act as the left channel and the other as the right channel, indicated by voice prompts.
3. Connect one of the paired speakers to your device via 3.5mm Aux or Bluetooth.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the speaker in a stable place to avoid accidental dropping.
• Keep the speaker away from any liquid or fire.
• Do not leave the speaker in high temperature or high moisture environments for extended periods.
• Do not disassemble or modify the speaker.
• Use a 5V charger. Using a higher voltage charger may damage the internal chip.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Sound: Ensure the speaker is powered on and the volume on your connected device is turned up. For wired connection, ensure the 3.5mm jack is fully inserted. For Bluetooth, ensure it is correctly paired.
• Charging Issues: Ensure the Micro USB cable is securely connected to both the speaker and a working USB power source. The charging indicator should be red.
• Bluetooth Pairing Failure: Turn off the speaker and restart the pairing process. Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering. If pairing two speakers for TWS, ensure both are in pairing mode.
• Low Volume: The speaker is designed to amplify your device's audio. Ensure your device's volume is at an appropriate level.
