4. Assembly Instructions
Simple assembly is required. It is recommended to have two people for easier and safer assembly. You will need a 17mm wrench or socket for tightening bolts (not included).
- Unpack Components: Lay out all parts on a clean, flat surface. Refer to the included hardware diagram to identify each component.
- Assemble Base: Attach the vertical support posts to the H-shaped base frames using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure the base is stable and the rubber foot covers are correctly positioned.
- Secure Triangular Supports: Install the triangular stable support structures to reinforce the connection between the vertical posts and the base. Tighten all bolts securely.
- Install Bar Holders (J-Hooks): Insert the main barbell holders (J-hooks) into the desired height holes on the vertical posts. Secure them with the adjustment pins.
- Install Safety Spotters: Insert the adjustable safety spotter arms into the lower holes on the vertical posts. These should be positioned below your lowest squat or bench press point for safety. Secure them with the adjustment pins.
- Final Check: Once assembled, double-check that all bolts are tightly secured and the stands are stable and do not wobble.

5. Operating Instructions
The ZENY Barbell Stands are designed for versatile use in your strength training routine.
5.1 Adjusting Height
The stands feature an adjustable height range from 41 inches to 66 inches. To adjust the height:
- Remove the adjustment pin from the vertical post.
- Slide the upper section of the stand to the desired height.
- Align the holes and re-insert the adjustment pin, ensuring it passes completely through both sides and is securely locked.
- Repeat for the other stand, ensuring both stands are set to the same height for balanced lifting.

5.2 Using the Safety Spotters
The adjustable spotter arms provide an additional layer of safety, catching the barbell if you fail a lift. Position them just below your lowest intended range of motion for exercises like bench presses or squats.
5.3 Exercise Applications
These stands are suitable for a variety of exercises:
- Squats: Position the stands at shoulder height for easy racking and unracking of the barbell.
- Bench Press: Use in conjunction with a weight bench. Adjust the stands to a height that allows you to comfortably unrack and re-rack the barbell.
- Overhead Press: Adjust the stands to a height suitable for unracking the barbell from a standing position.
- Dumbbell Bar Storage: The main bar holders can also be used to temporarily place dumbbell bars.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and safe operation of your barbell stands.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the stands with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and adjustment pins for tightness. Re-tighten as necessary.
- Rust Prevention: If the stands are in a humid environment, consider applying a light coat of rust-preventative spray to exposed metal surfaces, avoiding the rubber parts.
- Rubber Components: Ensure the rubber end caps and bar holder linings are intact and not worn, as they provide stability and protect your equipment.
7. Troubleshooting
- Stands Wobble:
- Ensure all assembly bolts are fully tightened.
- Verify the stands are placed on a completely flat and level surface.
- Check that the rubber foot covers are properly installed and not damaged.
- Difficulty Adjusting Height:
- Ensure the adjustment pin is fully removed before attempting to slide the post.
- Check for any obstructions or debris inside the posts.
- Bar Holders or Spotters Feel Loose:
- Confirm the adjustment pins are fully inserted and locked into place.
- Inspect the pins and corresponding holes for any damage or wear.
