5. Setup
5.1. Battery Installation
The caliper uses one LR44 button cell battery. A battery is typically pre-installed, and a spare is included.
- Locate the battery compartment on the digital display unit.
- Use the provided mini screwdriver to loosen the screw on the battery cover.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Insert the LR44 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw securely.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On/Off
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn the caliper on.
- Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the caliper off.
- The caliper features an automatic shut-off function and will power off after approximately 5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.
6.2. Zero Setting
The zero setting allows for relative measurements or to correct for any initial offset.
- Close the measuring jaws completely.
- Press the ZERO button. The display will show "0.00".
- You can also set zero at any open position to measure the difference from that point.
6.3. Unit Conversion
The caliper supports three measurement units: millimeters (mm), inches (in), and fractions.
- Press the mm/in/F button to cycle through the available units.
- The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD screen.
