1. Safety Instructions

Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating this power tool. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
  • Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating the hedge trimmer. Wear heavy-duty gloves, non-slip footwear, and long trousers. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
  • Hedge Trimmer Specific Safety: Keep all parts of the body away from the cutter blade. Do not attempt to remove cut material or hold material to be cut when blades are moving. Ensure the switch is off before clearing jammed material.

4. Operating Instructions

Ensure you have read and understood all safety instructions before operating the hedge trimmer.

4.1 Starting and Stopping the Trimmer

  1. To start the trimmer, ensure both hands are on the handles. Press and hold the safety switch on the front handle, then simultaneously press the trigger switch on the rear handle.
