Setup

Before using your OptiGrill+ XL for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and accessories from the appliance.
2. Clean Plates: Wipe the grill plates and drip tray with a sponge and hot water, then dry thoroughly. The plates and drip tray are dishwasher safe.
3. Position: Place the drip tray in front of the grill. Ensure the grill is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
4. Insert Plates: Ensure the grill plates are correctly installed and locked into place.

Operating Instructions

The OptiGrill+ XL features automatic cooking programs and a manual mode for versatile grilling.

Automatic Cooking Programs

The grill has 9 automatic programs for different food types:

Cooking Process:

1. Plug In: Plug the appliance into a wall outlet. The power button will flash.
2. Power On: Press the power button. The preheating indicator will flash.
3. Select Program: Press the 'M' button to cycle through the cooking programs. Once selected, press 'OK'.
4. Preheating: The grill will begin preheating. The indicator light will be purple and beep when preheating is complete.
5. Place Food: Open the grill and place your food on the cooking plates. Close the lid.

6. Automatic Cooking: The grill will automatically detect the thickness of the food and adapt the cooking cycle. The indicator light will change color to show the cooking progress (yellow for rare, orange for medium, red for well-done).
7. Remove Food: When the desired doneness is reached, remove the food. You can leave other pieces to cook longer if needed.

Manual Mode

For custom cooking or foods not covered by automatic programs, use manual mode:

• After pressing the power button, select the manual mode icon (usually represented by a thermometer or chef's hat icon).
• Adjust the temperature using the temperature control button if available.
• Preheat the grill. Once preheated, place your food.
• Monitor cooking manually and remove food when done.

Maintenance and Cleaning

1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Remove Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray after each use. It is dishwasher safe.
