6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Bestron AHP1200, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Appliance does not heat up. | Not plugged in; temperature control not fully inserted; power outlet malfunction. | Ensure the plug is securely in the outlet. Check that the temperature control is fully inserted. Test the outlet with another appliance. |
| Appliance heats intermittently or stops heating. | Temperature control cycling (normal operation); faulty temperature control unit; overheating protection activated. | The indicator light cycling on and off is normal as the thermostat maintains temperature. If it stops heating completely, unplug and allow to cool for 30 minutes before trying again. If the problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Food sticks to the pan. | Non-stick coating damaged; insufficient oil/butter (if used). | Ensure you are not using metal utensils that could scratch the coating. While designed for minimal oil, a small amount can be used if needed. If the coating is significantly damaged, the pan may need replacement. |
| Lid handle becomes loose or damaged. | Wear and tear; overtightening. | Check if the screw holding the handle can be gently tightened. If the plastic parts are damaged, contact customer support for replacement parts if available. |
