• Right Pedal (Sustain/Damper Pedal): This is the most commonly used pedal. Pressing it sustains the notes played, allowing them to ring out even after the keys are released. Releasing the pedal stops the sustain.
• Middle Pedal (Sostenuto Pedal): This pedal sustains only the notes that are held down at the moment the pedal is pressed. Subsequent notes played after the pedal is pressed will not be sustained.
• Left Pedal (Soft/Una Corda Pedal): This pedal reduces the volume and slightly alters the timbre of the notes played, creating a softer sound.
