Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your Modway Upland Teak Wood Outdoor Patio Set, follow these care instructions:
- Teak Wood Care: To retain the rich color of the teak wood, occasionally sand lightly and apply a teak cleaner and protectant. These products help nourish the wood and restore its original look.
- General Cleaning: Wipe the wood frame with a dry cloth for routine dusting. For more thorough cleaning, use a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the wood finish.
- Cushion Care: The cushions feature removable covers, which are machine washable. Refer to the care label on the cushion covers for specific washing instructions. Ensure cushions are completely dry before storage or re-use to prevent mildew.
Troubleshooting
This section provides general guidance for common issues. For specific problems not addressed here, please contact customer support.
- Wobbly Furniture: Ensure all assembly bolts and screws are securely tightened. Periodically check and retighten fasteners as needed.
- Wood Discoloration: Teak wood naturally weathers to a silvery-gray patina over time. If you prefer to maintain the original golden-brown color, regular application of teak oil or sealant is recommended as part of the maintenance routine.
- Cushion Stains: For removable cushion covers, follow the washing instructions on the label. For non-removable stains or general cleaning, spot clean with a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly.
