Maintenance

Regular cleaning is crucial for maintaining the performance, safety, and lifespan of your Lasko XtraAir T48331 tower fan. It is recommended to clean your fan at least twice per month.

Cleaning Procedure:

  1. Disconnect Power: Always unplug the fan from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
  2. Identify Vents: Locate the intake vents (typically at the back) and exhaust vents (at the front) of the fan.
  3. Vacuum Cleaning: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently clean the outside of both the front exhaust grill and the rear intake vents. This helps remove accumulated dust and debris.
  4. Compressed Air (Optional): If vacuuming does not completely remove all dust, use a can of compressed air to blow short bursts of air into the front exhaust vent. This can dislodge stubborn dust from internal components. After using compressed air, re-vacuum the rear intake vent to collect any dislodged dust.
  5. Exterior Wipe-Down: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or allow water to drip into the interior of the fan.

Important: Your Lasko tower fan is designed not to be opened. Opening the unit can lead to safety concerns and will void the warranty.
