Setup and Assembly
Assembly is required for this product. Follow these steps carefully.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
- Base Assembly: Attach the main body of the heater to the flat and sturdy standing base using the provided hardware.
- Gas Cylinder Placement: Open the lockable hinged door on the main body. Place a gas cylinder (up to 9kg, not included) inside the base. Secure the cylinder using the internal gas cylinder securing belts to prevent movement.
- Hose and Regulator Connection: Connect the AGA approved hose and regulator to the gas cylinder valve. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection. Connect the other end of the hose to the heater's gas inlet.
- Leak Test: Before first use, perform a leak test on all gas connections using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. Do not use the heater if a leak is detected.

Operating Instructions
- Gas Supply: Ensure the gas cylinder valve is fully open.
- Ignition: Turn the control knob to the 'IGNITE' position. Push and hold the control knob down while simultaneously pressing the piezo igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame ignites. Continue to hold the control knob down for approximately 10-15 seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up.
- Adjusting Heat: Once the pilot flame is stable, release the control knob. Turn the control knob to the desired heat setting (LOW or HIGH). The heater features a double emitter design for efficient heat distribution.
- Shutting Down: To turn off the heater, turn the control knob to the 'OFF' position. Then, close the gas supply valve on the cylinder.

Maintenance
The Devanti Gas Patio Heater is designed for silent and maintenance-free operation. However, regular inspection and basic cleaning are recommended to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Cleaning: Ensure the heater is completely cool before cleaning. Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check the gas hose and connections for any signs of wear, cracks, or leaks. Replace any damaged components immediately.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the gas cylinder and store the heater in a dry, protected area.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater will not ignite | Gas cylinder empty or valve closed Air in gas line Igniter not sparking Thermocouple not heating | Check gas level and open valve Purge air by attempting ignition several times Check igniter electrode and wiring Hold control knob down longer after ignition |
| Low flame or inconsistent heat | Low gas pressure Partial blockage in gas line/burner | Check gas cylinder level Inspect hose and burner for obstructions (ensure heater is off and cool) |
| Heater shuts off unexpectedly | Tip-over switch activated Flame failure device activated (e.g., strong wind) Oxygen Depletion System activated | Ensure heater is upright on a stable surface Relight heater, consider wind protection Ensure adequate ventilation |
