4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Battery Installation

Ensure all components have their respective batteries installed. The PIR Detector uses 2x AAA batteries, and the Window/Door Sensor, RF Controller, and Doorbell Button use button batteries. Batteries are typically pre-installed for convenience.

4.2. Wireless Infrared PIR Detector Placement

Install the PIR Detector at a recommended height of 1.8m-2.2m (approximately 5.9ft-7.2ft) from the floor. Place it in areas where motion detection is critical, such as hallways, living rooms, or entry points. Avoid direct sunlight or areas with significant temperature fluctuations to prevent false alarms.

4.3. Wireless Guarding Windows Doors Sensor Installation

The Window/Door Sensor consists of two parts: a main unit and a magnetic strip. Mount these two parts on a door or window frame so that they are aligned and within 25-35mm of each other when the door/window is closed. When the door/window opens, the magnetic contact is broken, triggering the alarm. Use the included adhesive or screws for secure mounting.

4.4. External Wired Alert Siren Connection

Connect the External Wired Alert Siren to the main alarm panel (if applicable) or a compatible power source using its 3.5mm connector. Ensure the siren is placed in a location where its sound can be effectively heard, typically near an entry point or in a central area of the property.

4.5. Wireless Remote RF Controller and Doorbell Button

The RF Controller and Doorbell Button are pre-paired with the system. The Doorbell Button can be conveniently stuck near your door. No specific installation is required beyond placing them in an accessible location.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Arming the System

To arm the system, press the "Arm" button on the Wireless Remote RF Controller. The system will typically provide an audible confirmation (e.g., a single beep) indicating it is armed. Once armed, the PIR Detector and Window/Door Sensors will actively monitor for intrusions.

5.2. Disarming the System

To disarm the system, press the "Disarm" button on the Wireless Remote RF Controller. An audible confirmation (e.g., two beeps) will indicate the system is disarmed. This will deactivate the sensors and siren.

5.3. Panic Function

In case of an emergency, press the "Panic" button on the Wireless Remote RF Controller. This will immediately trigger the External Wired Alert Siren, regardless of the system's armed status.

5.4. Doorbell Function

When someone presses the Wireless Remote Doorbell Button, the DG-HOSA system will emit a doorbell sound, alerting occupants to a visitor.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

Regularly check the battery status of all wireless components. Replace batteries promptly when they are low to ensure continuous operation. Refer to the specifications section for battery types for each component.

Note: The Window/Door Sensor includes under-voltage monitoring at 7.5V +/- 0.5V.

6.2. Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of all components with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the device surfaces.

6.3. Sensor Alignment Check

Periodically verify that the two parts of the Window/Door Sensor remain properly aligned and within the specified triggering distance (25-35mm) when the door or window is closed.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
PIR Detector not sensing motion.Low battery; Incorrect placement; Obstruction in detection area.Replace batteries; Adjust installation height (1.8m-2.2m); Clear obstructions.
Window/Door Sensor not triggering.Low battery; Misalignment of sensor parts; Gap too wide.Replace battery; Realign sensor parts; Ensure gap is within 25-35mm.
Siren not sounding. Not properly connected; Power issue; Faulty siren.Check 3.5mm connection; Verify power supply; Contact support if faulty.
Remote Controller/Doorbell Button not responding.Low battery; Out of range; Interference.Replace button batteries; Move closer to the main unit; Reduce wireless interference.
False alarms.PIR Detector exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or pets; Sensor sensitivity too high.Relocate PIR Detector; Adjust sensitivity if possible (not specified in input, so keep general); Ensure proper installation.
