Package Contents

Before beginning setup, ensure all items are present in the package:

Note: Some components may be pre-assembled. Refer to the setup section for detailed instructions.

Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the turntable on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and vibrations. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2. Platter and Belt Installation

  1. Place the sub-platter onto the spindle.
  2. Carefully stretch the drive belt around the sub-platter and the motor pulley.
  3. Place the main platter (300mm aluminum TPE-dampened) onto the sub-platter spindle.
  4. Place the Leather It mat on top of the platter.

3. Tonearm Setup and Cartridge Alignment

The 9" carbon fiber/aluminum tonearm is designed for precision. The Sumiko Blue Point No.2 cartridge is typically pre-installed. If not, carefully mount it according to the cartridge manufacturer's instructions.

4. Connecting to an Amplifier

Connect the turntable's RCA output cables to the "Phono" input of your amplifier or phono preamplifier. Ensure the ground wire is connected to the ground terminal on your amplifier to minimize hum.

5. Power Connection

Connect the 15V (DC)/1.6A power supply to the turntable's power input and then plug it into a suitable wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Press the "START" button located on the top plate to power on the turntable. Press it again to power off.

2. Speed Selection (33/45 RPM)

The turntable supports two speeds: 33 1/3 RPM and 45 RPM. To change speed, manually move the drive belt to the appropriate groove on the motor pulley. The electronic speed control ensures stability at the selected speed.

3. Playing a Record

  1. Place a record on the platter.
  2. Place the Clamp It on the record spindle to secure the record.
  3. Carefully lift the tonearm using the cueing lever.
  4. Position the tonearm over the desired starting groove of the record.
  5. Gently lower the tonearm using the cueing lever. The stylus will make contact with the record and playback will begin.

4. Stopping Playback

  1. At the end of the record, or when you wish to stop, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever.
  2. Return the tonearm to its rest.
  3. Press the "START" button to power off the turntable.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Turntable

2. Stylus Care

Regularly clean the stylus using a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning, brushing gently from back to front. A dirty stylus can degrade sound quality and damage records.

3. Belt Replacement

The drive belt may stretch or degrade over time. If you notice inconsistent speed or reduced performance, consider replacing the belt with an official Pro-Ject replacement part.

4. Bearing Lubrication

The main bearing (mirror-polished stainless steel) is designed for long-term performance. Consult a qualified technician for any lubrication needs, as improper lubrication can cause damage.
