1. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Attaching the Side Handle

The side handle can be attached to either side of the gear housing or on top, depending on the application and user preference. This provides optimal control and comfort.

  1. Screw the side handle into one of the three threaded holes on the gear housing.
  2. Tighten securely.

3.2 Installing/Changing the Grinding/Cutting Disc

Warning: Always disconnect the tool from the power supply before changing accessories.

  1. Press and hold the spindle lock button.
  2. Using the supplied spanner wrench, loosen and remove the outer flange nut by turning it counter-clockwise.
  3. Place the desired grinding or cutting disc onto the inner flange, ensuring it is centered.
  4. Replace the outer flange nut and tighten it clockwise with the spanner wrench while holding the spindle lock button.
  5. Ensure the disc guard is properly positioned for the task.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  1. To turn the tool on, slide the ON/OFF switch forward until it locks into the ON position. The soft start feature will reduce initial vibrations.
  2. To turn the tool off, slide the ON/OFF switch backward to the OFF position.

4.2 Grinding and Cutting Techniques

Always ensure the workpiece is securely clamped. Maintain a firm grip on the tool with both hands.

  • Grinding: Hold the tool at an angle of approximately 15-30 degrees to the workpiece. Apply moderate pressure and move the tool evenly across the surface.
  • Cutting: Hold the tool perpendicular to the workpiece. Allow the disc to cut through the material without forcing it. Avoid twisting or bending the disc.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the tool's lifespan.

  • Cleaning: Keep the ventilation slots clean to prevent overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris.
  • Disc Inspection: Regularly inspect grinding and cutting discs for wear, cracks, or damage. Replace damaged discs immediately.
  • Carbon Brushes: The carbon brushes may need replacement after extended use. This should be performed by a qualified service technician.
  • Cord Inspection: Check the power cord for any damage. Do not use the tool if the cord is damaged.
