Setup
1. Charging Your Device

The 6-inch Paperwhite display offers a 300 ppi glare-free experience with a flush-front design. Tap the right side of the screen to turn pages forward, and the left side to turn pages backward. Adjust font size, font face, line spacing, and margins through the reading menu.

2. Adjusting the Built-in Light
The adjustable built-in light allows for comfortable reading in various lighting conditions. Access the light settings from the top menu bar during reading to increase or decrease brightness.
3. Waterproof Features
The Kindle Paperwhite is waterproof (IPX8 rated), designed to withstand accidental immersion in 2 meters of fresh water for up to 60 minutes. This allows for reading by the pool, at the beach, or in the bath.

Common Issues and Solutions
- Device not responding: Press and hold the power button for 7 seconds until the device restarts.
- Battery not holding charge: Ensure you are using the correct charging cable and a compatible power adapter. Battery life is up to six weeks based on half an hour of reading per day with wireless off and light setting at 13. Wireless usage and Audible streaming will reduce battery life.
- Cannot connect to Wi-Fi: Verify your Wi-Fi password and ensure the network is compatible (802.11b, g, or n with WEP, WPA, or WPA2 security). Try restarting your Wi-Fi router.
