Setup Guide

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the Pathfinder II. Connect the power cable to the speaker's power input and then to a wall outlet. The battery indicator will show charging status. A full charge can take several hours.

2. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power button on the control panel to turn the speaker on or off.

3. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) is within 100 feet (30.5 meters) of the Pathfinder II.
  2. Turn on the Pathfinder II. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The Bluetooth icon on the display will flash.
  3. Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and select "ION Pathfinder II" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon will glow solid, and you will hear an audible confirmation.
  5. To disconnect, turn off Bluetooth on your device or select "Forget This Device" in your Bluetooth settings.

4. NFC Pairing (Optional)

If your device supports NFC (Near Field Communication), you can pair it by simply tapping your device to the NFC logo on the Pathfinder II's top panel. Ensure NFC is enabled on your device and the screen is unlocked.

5. Auxiliary Input

Connect an audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the 1/8-inch (3.5mm) AUX input using a standard audio cable. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.

6. Microphone Connection

Plug the included microphone into the microphone input jack on the control panel. Adjust the microphone volume using the dedicated MIC VOLUME knob.

Operating Instructions

1. Playing Music

Once connected via Bluetooth or AUX, start playing audio from your source device. Use the Master Volume knob on the Pathfinder II to adjust the overall sound level.

2. Using the AM/FM Radio

Press the RADIO button to switch to AM or FM mode. Use the Tune/Track buttons (< and >) to manually tune to a station or press and hold them to auto-seek the next available station. Save up to 6 preset stations by tuning to a station and then pressing and holding one of the Preset buttons (1-6) until the display flashes.

3. Bass Boost

Press the BASS BOOST button to instantly enhance the bass frequencies for a more powerful sound.

4. Light Bar Control

Press the Light button to cycle through different light modes or turn the light bar off.

5. USB Charging

Connect your mobile device's USB charging cable to the USB port on the Pathfinder II to charge your device. This port is for charging only and does not support data transfer.

6. Portability

Extend the telescoping handle and tilt the speaker back to roll it on its integrated wheels. Use the side carrying handles for lifting or carrying over short distances.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the Pathfinder II with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or abrasive detergents. Ensure all ports are dry before connecting any cables, especially after exposure to water.

Storage

Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, fully charge the battery every 3 months to maintain its lifespan.
